You pay for a month or a year of checks. If the first one was a mistake, you get it back.
The first payment on a plan can be refunded in full within 14 days of the charge, for any reason, whatever you used in the meantime. Renewals are not refunded, because you had the whole of the previous period to cancel; a renewal charged by mistake on an account with no usage in the period is the exception, and we refund it.
Cancel from the billing page at any time. The plan runs to the end of the period you paid for; after that the account has no plan, so its live and publishable keys stop being answered and its test keys keep working, at 100 checks a day. Nothing is deleted by cancelling, and choosing a plan again brings the live keys back.
A failed renewal does not cut you off. The plan stays for 7 days while Dodo Payments retries the card, and you are emailed when it fails and before the grace ends. After 7 days the plan ends and the account has no plan, as after a cancellation; choosing a plan again brings the live keys back.
Write to hello@unprofane.com from the account's email address. A person answers within one business day, and the refund goes back through Dodo Payments, who took the payment, to the card you paid with. Their receipt is your record of the payment.
If you open a dispute with your card issuer, the account has no plan while it settles: test keys keep working, live keys stop. Writing to us first is quicker for everyone: inside the window there is nothing we will not refund.
